Many high rises throughout the country are literally going green. Buildings in Chicago, and one day in Puerto Vallarta, are beginning to install green roofs. These aren't roofs made from renewable materials or solar panels. Here, you are able to plant everything from jasmine to onions.

For ages, potted plants have adorned rootops, but this new way of roofing allows for plants to physically root and comes complete with a special drainage system. There are a couple of benefits to green roofing. Most importantly, cooling needs are decreased by well over 25 percent, diminishing the greenhouse effect. Plants can absorb the heat radiated from concrete and blacktop.

A rooftop conservatory is more visually pleasing than a flat, black roof. Whether you plant grass, flowers, or brush, you now have a spot to stop and smell the roses. For now, green roofing is only found in the big city, however, keep an eye out for Puerto Vallarta homes going green.

You need to do some meticulous planning before installing a laundry room upstairs in your Puerto Vallarta home . If the job is done improperly, you could face water damage or structural troubles.

To ensure that your house will hold the additional weight and vibrations from a washer and dryer, it is wise to bring in an architect and possibly even a structural engineer. A floor drain and electronic shutoff valve, which will automatically block the flow of water in case of a leak, is a smart way to prevent water damage from flooding.

The priciest piece of the job will be putting in a dedicated electric and gas line. Lastly, do your homework to find the most quiet and energy efficient appliances. By following these simple steps, you can safely add upstairs laundry and raise the price value of your Puerto Vallarta home .
